Like a ‘Phoenix’ rising from the ashes (hands up all you Grand Funk fans), Rock of Ages returns to the airwaves this Friday after over 2 years of silence. The show is now hosted every Friday between 6 and 8pm on Mix 93.8FM, smack bang in ‘Drive Time’. Based in Midrand, Mix FM has become the most adventurous and progressive station in the Joburg/Pretoria area, playing all the classic hits of the last 40 years as well as new music that you don’t hear on any formatted station, including the likes of The Civil Wars, Dan Patlansky, Coheed and Cambria, Rival Sons, Joe Bonamassa, The Gaslight Anthem, Robert Plant and many more. Importantly the show will be available streaming live on the internet at www.mixfm.co.za.
Rock of Ages will not only feature the best in classic rock, blues, folk, prog and punk but will also focus on the finest new rock releases from both international and South African artists plus some alternative comedy, special features, competitions and a few surprises.
